As a church family we want to make the occasion of Collin’s ordination truly special by presenting him a stole representing his M.P.C. Family. You are asked to contribute a piece of fabric 12 inches by 6 inches that comes from something you have worn. Please place these fabric pieces in the sewing basket in the Fellowship Hall or give them to Nancy Calkins or Sue Royal as soon as possible.

What a wonderful way to surround Collin with our love and the memories of we his faith family!
May 18th is a momentous day for our church family. That day Collin Adams will graduate from Columbia Theological Seminary. He will also be certified by out Presbytery as “prepared to receive a call” which means he can be called by a church to be their pastor. There are already congregations in conversation with Collin because they are interested in him becoming their minister.

Congratulations Jacob!!
What a thrill it was to be part of and represent our congregation at Jeff Foster’s installation as pastor of the New Jersey Presbyterian in Carlisle, Ohio on April 27th.

It was sad when Jeff left us to begin his ministry with that congregation but it was a wonderful move for that

church and for Jeff and Yong. The children’s sermon during the regular service was given by one the members of that church and was about installation as it concerns carpet and vinyl siding. She said installation usually is considered a home improvement. Jeff’s installation though is a church improvement along with all the members, children included, they together are going to improve and make that church a better place of ministry for the years to come. I believe they will.

Remember Jeff, Yong and the New Jersey congregation as they begin “officially” their new venture together.
JEFF'S INSTALLATION
On Saturday, April 19th, a special Boy Scout Court of Honor was held to present Jacob McClain with the coveted Eagle Scout award. Jacob is the son of Dean and Kim McClain. James Harrison, Jacob’s maternal grandfather, and an Eagle Scout himself, participated in the ceremony.
Jacob is a member of Troop 400 and only the second scout in his troop to achieve this rank.

Concurrent with the Eagle Scout award, Travis Adams, presented Jacob with the “God and Country” award. This was the culmination of a year of activities. The “God and Country” program has been a core part of scouting for many years.
The program has two parts, the first based on study, and the second, based on experience and service. One aspect of part two was Jacob’s erection of two flag poles in front of the church representing God and Country. One flag pole flies the American flag and the other the PCUSA church flag.

Following the Court of Honor, a reception in honor of Eagle Scout Jacob McClain was held in the Fellowship Hall.
