The building loan balance as of March 31st.

You can look around you and see those who you know make good stewards of their time….whether it be community involvement, minister to those in need, either spiritually or physically, or a visit or phone call with a cheerful “Hello” that means so much.

Jane and I cherished our time spent with our children as they were growing up. True there were some bumps and curves in the road during that time, but we feel the time spent with them helped smooth out and straighten out that road. We are blessed and fortunate to have them close enough to come for visits several times a year, which they seem to enjoy. This now includes the grandchildren and “grand-dogs” and we try to have time with them as the whole group congregates in our home. We , too, go to their homes for brief visits especially when special events in the lives of the grandchildren are taking place.

The reward for this time is to see their development into mature people in their church life as well as their occupations and observing their commitment to their own children. That too is stewardship...of time.

The painting on the inside of the church has been completed. One upstairs Sunday School room and one downstairs Sunday School room, the downstairs hallway and the Fellowship Hall all have a fresh coat of paint. We also have new chair rails up in the downstairs Sunday School room. And there are new window treatments on the south facing windows in the Fellowship Hall.

The Building and Grounds committee wants to thank Bona Allen, Doug Calkins, Howard & Virginia Fisher, Howard & Pat Grossman, Don & Linda Guinn, Keith & Lorena Johnson, Bob Johnson, Les Jones, Tom Pander, Don Ransom and Dottie Riggs for their hard work.
The results are fantastic.

Many thanks for all the prayers, thoughts, calls, cards and food that have been sent to us during John’s illness. They were greatly appreciated. It is so nice being part of such a loving and caring congregation.

It’s that time of year again to spruce up our church grounds and get them ready for summer. Please lend your hand on May 17th and 24th from 8:30 to done or done in!! Lunch and liquids will be provided.

Stewardship Moment Recap of March 30th: The stewardship of TIME with Family

Our building loan balance as of March 31st was $54, 693. Since the interest rates have been reduced substantially over the past few months—with the prime rate at 5.25% - we have talked with our bank and they have reduced our interest rate to 6% for the remainder of the term of the loan. This will save 2.9% in interest charges and this savings will be applied toward additional principal payments.

On May 17th we will be pruning and weeding, so bring all your tools such as: wheelbarrows, carts, plastic tubs, shovels, rakes, pruning shears, clippers, claws, etc.

On May 24th we will be hauling and spreading mulch, so please bring your tools and equipment for hauling and spreading such as: wheelbarrows, plastic tubs, rakes and shovels.

Please call the office on Friday of each week to let Cindy know approximately what time you expect to be at the church, so we can plan assignments in advance.
